About
Most of what decides a board career is never written down.
Who gets found. How mandates actually work. What makes a director effective once in the room. I have spent twelve years learning it from the inside, and the last four helping others learn it too.

Boards and roles
Boards. Non-Executive Director in Germany, the United Kingdom and Canada, with present and past mandates at ATS Corporation, Terrafend, Blue Cap AG, DLA Piper, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen and EIM Executive Interim Management, among others. Seven mandates over twelve years, among them the chair of a listed company and of a privately held one.
Committees. Chair of risk and of sustainability. Member of audit, strategy and nomination.
Operating. Five years on the Board of Management of Voith Hydro.
Consulting. Twenty-two years at Boston Consulting Group, twelve of them as Partner and Managing Director.
Teaching. Lecturer and coach at INSEAD, in MBA and executive education programmes.
How I work with you
Read the way a board reads
Twenty-two years at BCG trained me to go deep quickly and to think through second- and third-order effects. Whether it is your board CV or your first board agenda, I read it the way a board does: what follows from each point, and which question it raises next.
Where Board Move comes from
In 2022 I founded BCG WomenPowerment. The idea came from a recurring experience: headhunters kept asking me to recommend board-ready women, and I knew many impressive ones, but no trusted space connected them. The network now brings together around 250 senior BCG alumnae across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and in my view it is one of BCG’s most active alumnae communities.
Out of that network grew the supervisory board circle, where people who sit on boards compare notes on what really happens. Over three years I have turned what we learned there, and what the people I advised were missing most, into what I consider the most practical, peer-validated body of knowledge on board careers in the German-speaking world.
Board Move makes that knowledge available to anyone seriously building a board career.
